This San Francisco serial number 1 star note is, to our knowledge, the only serial number 1 star note known from the 1976 $2 Federal Reserve Note series. It is a lovely near-Gem, and is completely original. It is a true "trophy note" for small size U.S. currency collectors, and comes from one of the most popularly collected district banks.

1928-C, $10 Federal Reserve Note. CGA Gem Uncirculated 66. Fr-2003-D. A CGA-certified Gem, with good eye appeal and nice centering. Regardless, it has the appearance of a high grade piece from this scarcer issue that was only issued by five district banks--one of which (the Atlanta district) is currently unknown. Cleveland is the second-scarcest district, second only to Richmond in rarity.
Estimated Value $2,000 - 3,000.
